ABOUT
International discussions on legal, economic and political developments in the 21st century will take place in Yekaterinburg at the European-Asian Legal Congress (EALC) on 9-10 June 2016.
The participants of the 10th session of the Congress include representatives of federal and regional authorities, leading experts from BRICS countries, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Poland, Serbia, Sweden, Uzbekistan, and the USA. More than 600 participants are expected to take part in the Forum.

The main topics of the discussions were related to the role of law in the development of national economies and international economic relations, the relationship between legal mechanisms and political processes in the spheres of inter-state cooperation, understanding the socio-economic and political-legal nature of the 21st century challenges in national development and international construction.

Principle ideas and concepts cover a wide range of legal, economic and political practices in international law and constitutional regulation, civil and administrative justice, private and public law, business and labour regulation, tax and customs partnerships, the interaction of national legal systems and forms of national security.
Preliminary research on the issues raised was undertaken in the format of Congress working groups and seminars, as well as by the BRICS Institute of Law, which brings together a number of universities from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

The Forum is organised and coordinated by the Association of Lawyers of Russia and the Ural State Law University, which established the EALC in 2007 in order to consolidate the scientific and professional resources for developing solutions to today's urgent legal, economic and political problems in the world.
On the first day of the Forum, the annual prize named after Sergei Sergeyevich Alekseev, the renowned Soviet and Russian scholar, will be awarded. The Congress events will be held in the buildings of the Sverdlovsk Oblast Government and Legislative Assembly.

On 9-10 June 2016, the Tenth Session of the Euro-Asian Law Congress took place. The work was organised in the form of panels and roundtables.
